The Ghost Car | McLaren Powered Porsche 911

The car that no one knew existed until a photographer broke a few rules and captured the masterpiece at a McLaren employee motor show last year will leaving you begging for its keys. The car – a 1980s Porsche 911 powered by a 1.5-litre TAG turbocharged V6 taken from an actual McLaren Formula 1 car.

At first glance the car looks like a perfectly normal Porsche 911 from the 1980s, but as you get closer and open up the engine bay the car begins to reveal its inner beast. For aesthetic purposes, the car is equipped with a lovely pair of five-spoke RUF wheels and even has a green push-to-start button on the dashboard setting it apart from a stock 911 of that time.

It’s really the back of the car that does all of the talking with two amazing intercoolers sticking out of the engine department making onlookers question how fast the car could go. Unfortunately, it has been said that McLaren has turned down all requests for a road test so for now we will have to let our imaginations run wild as we ponder the abilities of such a unique build.
